Philip
Scarbro has worked for EFI since 1991, and in the energy efficiency
field since 1986. Mr. Scarbro is responsible for the marketing,
development and operations of all of EFI's consumer-oriented online
initiatives, including 50 client-sponsored online stores. He was
responsible for the establishment of EFI's Consumer Division in
2004, and under his management the Division is now is a significant
contributor to EFI's overall revenue.
From 1986 through 1991 Mr. Scarbro was Project Director
with People's Energy Resource Cooperative (PERC), managing low interest
loan programs, administering utility-sponsored energy audit programs,
and working with PERC members. PERC was one of the founding member
organizations of EFI. In 1991, shortly after PERC merged with Fair
Share Development Corporation to become Community Energy Partnership
(subsequently Conservation Services Group), Mr. Scarbro joined EFI's
management.
Prior to PERC Philip was research assistant in Abt
Associates' Survey Research Group (1983 to 1986), a research and
consulting firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and before that he
worked in the office services department of United Way of Massachusetts
Bay in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Scarbro has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from
Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts (1982), and a Masters
degree in International Development and Social Change from Clark
University in Worcester, Massachusetts (1996). Mr. Scarbro currently
serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Amigos de
las Americas of Greater Boston, for which he has held numerous positions
on the Board of Directors since 1982 (including President, Treasurer,
Training Director, and Fund Raising Director). He is also a past
member of EFI's Board of Directors, on which EFI's management serve
rotating terms.
