This thermometer is designed specifically for your refrigerator. It is often hard to tell if the coldness inside of your fridge or freezer is correct. If the setting is too warm your food won't keep. If it's too cold you'll use more energy than you need to. You ideally want your fridge to be set at 36 to 38 degrees F., and your freezer to be 0 to 5 degrees F.  This thermometer makes it easy to tell if the temperature is correct.  It has a non-toxic filling, shatterproof clear plastic lens, and can either sit or hang inside of either cooling compartment.
