EFI's Utility Division's capabilities break down
into three distinct areas, incentive processing services, product fulfillment
catalogs, and direct mail campaigns.
Incentive
(Rebate) Processing Services
Many utility companies sponsor programs that provide
rebates to consumers, retailers, or manufacturers relating to the sale
of energy efficient products to the utility's customers. Energy Federation
serves as the rebate processing contractor for many of these programs.
These programs require processing functions such
as collecting required documentation (application forms, receipts/invoices
from retail stores and/or contractors, UPC codes from product packaging,
etc...), verifying applicant eligibility, matching product model numbers
with qualifying product lists, communicating with rebate applicants, issuing
checks, and reporting activity to the sponsor. Measures we process rebates
for include programmable thermostats, compact fluorescent light bulbs,
compact fluorescent light fixtures, furnaces, boilers, air conditioning
systems, on-demand tankless water heaters, indirect water heaters, windows,
and others.

Direct
Mail Campaigns
In today’s fast-paced, multi-tasking world, it is difficult to capture
the attention of your customers or target market audience. Whether you
use direct mail, electronic mail or media in an attempt to communicate
your message, you literally may have only the blink of an eye to capture
someone’s attention.
EFI will work with you to design and implement effective,
innovative direct marketing campaigns that will succeed in getting your
message to the audience you want to reach and will produce direct energy
saving benefits for you and your customers.
Maybe the message is that you want to work with your customers
to help them use fewer kilowatt hours, or fewer therms, to meet their
household energy requirements. Maybe the product ENERGY STAR® bulb
or water saving showerhead you give to them simply is intended to introduce
them to another offer you want them to consider – such as enrolling in
a plan to receive and pay utility bills electronically, or to buy and
install an energy efficient heating and/or cooling system. The chances
are good that by providing your audience with a tangible product that
will deliver genuine benefits you will assure your message is read and
understood by likely appreciative package recipients.
