The online store for Colombia Gas of Ohio was launched in January of 2009, featuring programmable thermostats and high performance showerheads (defined by the utility has having a maximum flow of 1.8 gallons of water or less).  The utility offers a $10.00 incentive for qualifying showerheads and a $25.00 incentive for qualifying thermostats, with a limit of three showerheads and two thermostats per customer. Customers are also able to receive one free showerhead. The menu includes AM Conservation, Danze, Evolve, Niagara Conservation, and WaterPik showerheads, and Aube, Honeywell, and LuxPro brand thermostats.  The utility also allows customers to purchase qualifying products from local retailer and submit a mail-in rebate application. These forms are available for download through the online store, allowing customers to order online or locally. Subsequent to orders having been shipped purchasers received an automatic email thanking them for their participation with a link to an online survey developed by Columbia Gas of Ohio’s marketing contractor through which the utility can gather additional information.
