Energy Efficiency Data Processing Specialist

  • Input energy efficiency rebates for appliance and lighting rebate programs
  • Input coupons submitted in instant coupon programs
  • Input of upstream lighting rebates, both manually and electronically
  • Assist in the PFQC of appliance, lighting, and upstream lighting rebate NCA’s
  • Assist with manual QC of appliance, lighting, and upstream lighting rebates when needed
  • Input HVAC, heating, insulation, prescriptive and commercial Lighting rebates
  • Assist with the PFQC of HVAC, heating, insulation, prescriptive and commercial lighting rebate NCA’s
  • Assist with the manual QC of HVAC, heating, insulation, prescriptive and commercial lighting rebates
  • Make every effort to insure completeness and accuracy of work
  • Filing and organizing all materials associated with utility programs
  • Assist in administrative duties and other special projects
  • Cross train in all new HVAC, heating, insulation, prescriptive, and commercial lighting programs as they are established
  • Other projects as assigned


  • A high school diploma is required
  • Minimum of one year experience in data processing is preferred


  • Interest in energy conservation industry (green job) and willingness to support EFI’s mission statement
  • Proficiency in the navigation and use of the websites most used as reference material (Energy Star, CEE1, AHRI, Manufacturer’s websites)
  • Familiarity with the upstream lighting process in its completion
  • Knowledge of heating equipment functionality and specifications
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment functionality and specifications
  • Familiarity with lighting, ventilation, water heating and insulation equipment, such as, but not limited to, windows, spray insulation, water heating equipment, heat recovery ventilators, evaporative coolers, lighting ballasts, and other assorted residential and commercial lighting equipment
  • Excellent organizational and proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new programs, policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to be flexible to ongoing program and process changes
  • A professional attitude and a desire to succeed
